On our regrouting adventures across Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Geelong, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast we see a lot of bathrooms, and we discover a lot of great ideas and new trends along the way, too! 

Everything from adding texture with recycled materials, to creating your own bathroom green house with a careful selection of bathroom-friendly plants, we are inspired daily and wanted to share some of our favourites for 2022 so far:

Feature Tapware

There are just so many different types and colours in tapware available nowadays, the choices are endless and depend mostly on your interior design goal. Whether you are looking for that sleek modern look with black, or a more traditional, luxurious feel with brass – your imagination is the only limit! 

Unfinished/raw timber

Recycling furniture became popular off the back of so many lockdowns, but in a post-lockdown world we have successfully taken the same idea and made it even more beautiful in our bathrooms. You can use recycled timber for our bench, for wall shelves, or if you don’t have much room to spare, for stylish and ecofriendly shower mat! 

Dark statement walls

White is no longer the only choice for your bathroom walls – and being bold with your paint choices is being celebrated more and more as home renovations shows give us great inspiration for choosing something a little more outside the box. Plus, you can always re-paint should you change your mind or want a change – its an inexpensive way to create interest in your bathroom no matter your budget! 

Incorporating texture 

Texture is a great way to create a modern feel in your bathroom – and plays on almost all of the trends we’ve touched on… so that combined and used tastefully together, you have effortless texture in spades! Timber or even textured tiles are a great way to achieve a powerful contrast in your bathroom and you can go as bold or as understated as you wish to suit your taste and décor.  

Bathroom Greenery

There is just no place we can’t insert a little greenery – bathrooms are no longer an exception to that rule!
