The Grout Guy partnership set to raise $50,000 for youth mental health.

The Grout Guy has announced an inspiring partnership with zero2hero, a WA based charity focused on youth mental health and suicide prevention, with the goal of raising $50,000.

Funds generated by The Grout Guy will support zero2hero to educate, engage and empower hundreds of young people through its school programs, leadership camps and fundraising events.

Brad Young, CEO of The Grout Guy, and a father of four, expressed his deep concern for youth mental health and the rising occurrence of suicide in Australia. “I was shocked to discover suicide is the leading cause of death for people aged between 15-44 in Australia,” he said. As a Dad of four boys, it gives me hope to know there is an organisation like zero2hero focused on educating young people on how to positively manage their mental health before it’s too late.”

To achieve the goal, The Grout Guy has pledged to donate $2 from every job over the next year. They will also match any customer who chooses to add $2 to their invoice in support of zero2hero.

Ashlee Harrison, CEO of zero2hero, underscored the significance of this partnership. “Each contribution, big or small, can help transform a young person’s life. Thanks to The Grout Guy’s commitment, we will be able to equip hundreds of young people with the tools to support their mental health, assist their peers and access help before the point of crisis,” said Harrison.

“In 2023 zero2hero had its biggest year yet, impacting 32,507 young people, reaching 246 WA schools and training 611 people in suicide prevention. Support from organisations like The Grout Guy goes a long way in supporting us to achieve this impact,” Harrison added. “That’s why we created the term Heroic Supporter for our partners as they truly help to save lives.

“Our work is funded by our corporate and community partners to ensure that our essential programs are accessible for as many young people across our state as possible.”

Mr Young called on the community to support the cause and make an impact.

“Every job our team completes this year will be doing more than just revitalising tiles and our 100 strong team is enormously proud to be associated with zero2hero. I am confident we will reach and surpass our goal.” concluded Young.

zero2hero is a WA based not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving the mental health and wellbeing of young people and preventing suicide in Australia.
