Founder Story

The Grout Guy began with a simple opportunity and strong work ethic. At 17, founder Brad Young returned from overseas looking for work and started helping in a small family friend’s grouting business. What began as casual work quickly developed into hands-on experience repairing grout, restoring tiled areas and learning the value of doing the job properly.

Over the following years, Brad worked extensively in the field, gaining practical experience in grout repair, shower restoration and tile maintenance. Along the way he also learned the fundamentals of running a service business – correctly pricing jobs, building reliable systems and delivering a professional customer experience.

Today, the business still operates on the same principles: show up on time, do quality work and leave every bathroom better than you found it.

Company Timeline & Milestones

What began as a small local operation has grown into a national service business with more than 100 team members working across Australia. As the company developed, strong systems, reliable service delivery and consistent workmanship helped The Grout Guy expand into new regions.

Today, The Grout Guy operates across Western Australia, Queensland, Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia, completing thousands of projects every year.

The business continues to grow while maintaining the same focus on reliability, professionalism and doing the job properly.

The tradesman was very friendly and polite and on time. My only negative remark would be that I would have expected much less dust. I could not see any dust extraction being used during the process, so therefore a layer of dust was left behind not only in the immediate area, but also further afield. The photos show two of the kitchen walls where the grout had been changed from white to a colour of ‘London Grey’.
